If I had one thing to add, mixed race marriages are quite similar. We have been married a mere 3. I've been doing it wrong. I feel like this pressure of finding a residency has already taken a toll in our relationship and somewhat "controlled" us for so long that I am already so tired of it. Her brain has been wired from birth by said cult. Interreligious marriages are not a new thing. The church creates massive guilt and shame in children and adults usually through sex related shaming. A quiet, hard working immigrant but dedicated and faithful. She went to BYU and did a 2 year mission, but since she was a girl she got to have a car instead of a bicycle.
I definitely don't want to lead her on. How will this all be once we have children?. The day could come where she has to decide between her relationship with you and her church. I think it might be worth trying.
